NXT FIGHT: Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk
Version 1.0 (Phase 1) Effective date: 26 July 2026 Last updated: 14 July 2026
This Waiver applies to every user who takes part in combat sports, training, sparring, matching or events connected to the NXT FIGHT Platform ("you", "Participant"). It is incorporated into the Terms of Service. For a minor fighter (16–17), the parent/legal guardian accepts this Waiver on the minor's behalf. See the Guardian Consent document.
Preamble: nature of the activity
Combat sports, including boxing, MMA, Muay Thai, kickboxing, wrestling and grappling, are inherently and unavoidably dangerous. They can result in serious, permanent injury or death. By accepting this Waiver you confirm that you understand this and choose to take part anyway, voluntarily and at your own risk.
1. Acknowledgement of risks
You acknowledge that participation may cause, without limitation: bruises, cuts and lacerations; broken bones and dislocations; sprains, strains and ligament or tendon damage; dental and eye injuries; concussion and traumatic brain injury; internal injury; paralysis; heart events; permanent disability; psychological harm; and death. These risks cannot be eliminated regardless of care taken.
2. Voluntary participation & medical fitness
You confirm that you take part voluntarily, and that you are in adequate physical and mental condition to do so. You confirm you have no medical condition that makes participation unsafe, and that you have obtained any medical clearance that a responsible person in your position would obtain. You are responsible for stopping and seeking help if you feel unwell or unsafe.
3. Release of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release, waive, discharge and agree not to sue NXT FIGHT, its operator FYYTR Sports FZC LLC, and their owners, officers, staff and affiliates (the "Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands or causes of action for injury, death, loss or damage arising from or connected to your participation in combat sports, training or events connected to the Platform, whether or not caused by the ordinary negligence of the Released Parties, except for liability that cannot be released under UAE law (such as gross negligence or wilful misconduct, to the extent the law so provides).
4. The Platform's role: not an organiser
You understand that NXT FIGHT is a technology platform only. It is not a promoter, organiser, sanctioning body, matchmaker, coach, medical provider or insurer, and it does not supervise, sanction, or guarantee any fight, training session or event. Responsibility for the conduct and safety of any activity lies with the participants, gyms, promoters, coaches, event organisers and the relevant sanctioning authority, not with NXT FIGHT.
5. Verification is not a safety guarantee
You understand that verification badges and profile information (including experience and records) are not a guarantee of any person's identity, skill, honesty, medical fitness or safety. You are solely responsible for evaluating any opponent, coach, gym, or event before you train, match, or compete, and for satisfying yourself that it is safe and lawful for you to do so.
6. Medical treatment & costs
You consent to receiving emergency medical treatment if you are injured and unable to consent, and you agree that you are responsible for all costs of any medical treatment you receive. NXT FIGHT is not responsible for arranging or paying for medical care.
7. No insurance
NXT FIGHT does not provide you with health, accident, disability or liability insurance. You are responsible for obtaining any insurance you want for your participation.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claim, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your participation, your use of the Platform, or any injury or damage you cause to another person.
9. Minors (16–17)
Where the Participant is a minor aged 16–17, the parent/legal guardian: (a) accepts this Waiver on the minor's behalf and on their own behalf; (b) confirms the minor is medically fit to take part; and (c) agrees to the release and indemnity above to the fullest extent the law permits for a guardian acting for a minor. See the Guardian Consent document.
10. Governing law & severability
This Waiver is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of the Emirate of Sharjah have jurisdiction. If any part of this Waiver is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, and the unenforceable part will be applied to the maximum extent the law allows.
11. Acknowledgement
By accepting this Waiver (by ticking the acceptance box, signing, or continuing to participate) you confirm that you have read and understood it, that you are giving up substantial legal rights, and that you accept it freely.
